Set on south facing slopes at the foot of the picturesque Yorkshire Wolds, Ryedale Vineyards is the most northerly commercial vineyard in England. Stuart and Elizabeth Smith planted in 2006 and have been producing award winning wines since 2009. Ryedale Vineyards is a family run business, and four generations of our family are involved in the work on the vineyard and in the winery.

For Stuart the vineyards are the culmination of years of involvement with English and Welsh vineyards - he has been a supplier of top quality grafted vines at the Vine House for over 20 years, and has extensive knowledge and expertise on the subject.  With this background, and a love of wine, it has always been Stuart’s ambition to have a vineyard.
 
You could say we are living the dream - it is hard work, but still a dream!!
